I want to fight my art. I do fight it. Finishing a piece is like picking a fight with myself to see if I can win.
I wonder what my art would look like if my artistic desire came fom a completely different place, emotionally, like Love, or Peace.
I think it changes the way you approach the work, your attitude. Work with the mediums instead of against them.

The Pancakes and Booze Art Show is a 2 day event, geared towards assisting inspired artists in obtaining a broader fan base. The walls are PACKED with art and there are bands and DJ's playing both days, The atmosphere is festival like and quite a ruckus. One of my favorite things to do, every Friday, I get paid and I head over to my local comic shop to talk to the owners about what's new, what's good, what's interesting, and what nifty hidden treasures are laying about in plain sight. I love spending the afternoon or a Saturday morning with my comics, reading and rereading, all new or old ideas about how to lay out a page or depict someone or something in action. I feel like comic artists are asked to perform at an incredible skill level for an extended period, over vast genres. A good comic artist learns things about anatomy and figure drawing and perspective that would have had Leonardo or
